Banilad, Cebu City
house on eagle street
For this renovation project, our main design cue came from one of the most honest architectural silhouettes of a home, one that was present in this residence – the gabled roof. Our design treatment was to remove its eaves, and in doing so we were able to achieve a fresh and modern silhouette while still preserving the existing structural profile of the home.
The house was designed within the aesthetic spectrum of the other residences located adjacent to it. One of the more evident motifs present in its façade was the gabled roof.
The gabled roof was then extracted and translated to be a modern architectural feature that made this house stand out amongst its peers.
